  • Been trying a lot of cafes in town and this was by far the best. Super beautiful patio with grapevines growing around the ancient pillars. German owners, so delicious German pastries and Kuchen.

  • Great coffee house! They were just one block away from our hotel and we had our breakfast here everyday. They serve both sweet and savory options. The quality is very good, the seating area is in a lovely patio beautifully decorated and the service was excellent. They also sell local coffee with their own blend too.

  • Nice specialty coffee! The service is quite slow, but they’re trying their best, specially on their rush hour. So please keep that on mind if you just wanna stop here for a fast service. Enjoy their terrace cause is beautiful! Definitely a place to chill and relax with your friends. Their waffles smell amazing I couldn’t get one cause I just wanna try their coffee but I’ll be back to try it out!

  • A beautiful place to have specialty Peruvian coffee and delicious desserts. They roast their own coffee and have more varieties of coffee from many different regions in Peru than any shop I visited in Arequipa. The women I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helpful in describing the profiles of coffee. In addition the V60 was by far the best price in town at 12 soles vs 14-17 at other cafes. If you are a coffee connoisseur, I would definitely suggest visiting. I do not drink coffee drinks so I cannot vouch for the experience of their baristas. The space is really nice set in a beautiful Arequipan courtyard. We really enjoyed our visit.

  • In beautiful Arequipa, just a short walk from the historic center and Plaza de Armas, this café is a true hidden gem. Over the past few years, the quality and number of cafés in Arequipa has grown significantly. Still, only a few truly stand out—and this is one of them. Unlike many places that simply serve well-prepared coffee, this is a real tostaduría: they carefully select their beans, roast them in-house, and focus on the full journey from bean to cup. During my longer stays, I always look for cafés that take coffee seriously—places where you can feel the passion behind the product. This is exactly such a place. You’ll find a wide variety of beans and roast profiles, and the staff can grind them specifically for your preferred brewing method, whether it’s French press, AeroPress, or something else. They also sell brewing equipment, and French presses and AeroPress gear are usually in stock, which is a big plus. In terms of pricing, the value is very fair. From what I’ve seen, coffee beans start at around 30 soles for 500 grams for the more economical varieties, with higher-quality options at around 35 or 40 soles, depending on origin and roast. Brewing equipment is also reasonably priced—for example, a French press was around 40 soles. Overall, the prices match the quality very well. If you prefer to enjoy your coffee on site, the café itself is beautiful. Once inside, you’ll discover a calm, inviting inner space where you can relax with an excellently prepared coffee and some pastry. The coffee quality is consistently high, with multiple brewing options and flavor profiles to choose from. The staff is very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. And as a small personal highlight for me as an Austrian: many of the names are in German. Even the café name itself, Kaffeehaus, is German, and the coffees are labeled with names like Norden and Süden. I was told the owners spent time in Germany and brought back this creative concept—which I absolutely loved. A small Easter egg for German-speaking travelers. If you’re looking for high-quality coffee, freshly roasted beans, proper brewing options, and a relaxed atmosphere, this is one of Arequipa’s special spots. Highly recommended. Greetings from Austria ????????

  • Went here for brunch and sat in the lovely garden. The place is a great place to sit in the sun. The garden is really nice and you can sit there all day if you wish. I had the vegetarian omelette which was tasty but I think it had too much cheese in. I still ate all of it though. The Lemon water is delicious and a litre is good value. The asparagus and ham bread was ok but disappointing that the bread was not toasted. The coffee is pretty good and the staff are helpful and positive.

  • Nice small specialty coffee place, they have a cute garden in the back that you can sit under the sun whilst enjoying your coffee, i think they need to add one more person in the bar as all of the baristas seems so stressed out but the waiter Milagros is so nice and very attentive! Highly recommend!
